In 2015, ESN joined the initiative launched by the European University Foundation (EUF), called the Online Learning Agreement, which would develop a tool for students and universities to create and sign an e-learning agreement. In May 2017, OLA was created as a proof of concept for universities to try and support. EUF followed with another project, OLA+, which worked on adding new features to the platform, such as. B apprenticeship agreements for traineeships and the measurement of user satisfaction. Learning agreements for studies developed for this semester as well as learning agreements for internships are now available through the former OLA platform. It is also possible to adapt the OLA during the mobility period if your home university so requires. Log in to the OLA system and complete the section of the learning changes agreement. The Learning Agreement is a key document for Erasmus+ mobility. From the Erasmus+ programme 2021-2027, e-learning agreements are becoming the norm.
In recent years, we have seen how digital learning agreements can drastically reduce the administrative burden and make it easier for students to enjoy a quality mobility experience. In the past, the complexity of red tape has led to learning agreements not always being concluded before departure, as well as problems with ECTS recognition after students return to their home countries. In a study conducted in late 2019 – early 2020, more than 90% of students said they would recommend OLA to their colleagues. In addition, 93% of IROs believe that all learning agreements should be put online via an easy-to-use tool. Learning contracts specific to higher education are signed at the faculty`s information centre after the student`s arrival in Bergen. The student begins the process by creating and signing a learning agreement in the OLA system. Make sure you send your students the right name and email address for the person in charge of your institution (responsible for signing the learning agreement). Erasmus+ students who come to UiB must use the Online Learning Agreement (OLA). All Erasmus students entering and leaving UiB must use the OLA system. If you need a PDF/paper version of the Learning Agreement, your student can download a PDF of the OLA after it has been signed by all parties and send it to you.
